Dr. Andy Wong Shu Wing , Chairman, Sunlink International Group

Dr. Andy Wong Shu Wing, Chairman of Sunlink International Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries (“Sunlink International” or “the Group”), founded the Group in 1989. Under his leadership, Sunlink International has been listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2003.

Applying passion and sincerity in his dealings both with business partners and customers, Dr. Wong has materialized his vision for the wireless communication industry and nurtured Sunlink International into an expert in industrial wireless communication devices and solutions that is recognized by internationally renowned enterprises such as Wavecom S.A. and Sony Ericsson. Guided by Dr. Wong, Sunlink International has successfully incorporated industrial wireless communication technology into the wireless metering business in China, as a result of which the Group has garnered a market share of over 50% within a short period of just two years. In 2005, the technology was interfaced with the Group’s auto device business, which quickly took up the leading position in the market. Looking into the future, Dr. Wong will guide Sunlink International towards adapting wireless communication technology into M2M (Machine-to-Machine) applications while creating more diversified business opportunities.

Dr. Wong has long been committed to supporting a wide variety of charity activities. In February 2007, he headed a team which participated in the “MSF Orienteering Competition”, in which Sunlink International was one of the top three participating organizations. In June 2007, he co-organized charity events with the Hong Kong Golf Professional Association to raise funds for the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association to help provide personal emergency link services to the elderly. Thanks to Dr. Wong’s efforts, Sunlink International was awarded the Caring Company logo in Hong Kong in 2008.
